The M.Phil. in Tamil programme at Sri Vasavi College (Aided Wing) is designed for scholars who wish to pursue advanced research in Tamil language, literature, and culture. It offers a platform to engage deeply with the evolution, aesthetics, and critical thought of Tamil heritage — from Sangam classics to modern literary expressions.

The programme nurtures intellectual curiosity and analytical depth, encouraging scholars to explore Tamil’s literary richness while relating it to broader linguistic, cultural, and philosophical contexts.

Under the guidance of experienced research supervisors, scholars undertake projects that contribute to Tamil’s academic and cultural legacy through original and innovative research.
