History of the Trust
The Erode Vidya Sangam, a registered educational society founded in 1966, stands as the proud parent body of Sri Vasavi College, Erode. It was established by a group of visionary philanthropists and academicians belonging to the Arya Vysya community, with an unwavering commitment to promote higher education for the youth of this region.
At a time when access to quality education was limited, especially for rural and middle-class families, the founders of the Sangam envisioned an institution that would nurture intellectual growth, moral integrity, and social progress. Guided by this noble vision, Sri Vasavi College was inaugurated in 1967 under the auspices of the Erode Vidya Sangam.
