Rules & Regulations

Code of Conduct (Administration & Governing Body)

The Governing Body of Sri Vasavi College functions as the highest policy-making authority, ensuring transparency, accountability and institutional growth.

  • The Governing Body operates in accordance with the norms of the UGC, Government of Tamil Nadu and Bharathiar University.
  • All administrative and financial decisions are taken collectively in the best interest of students, faculty and society.
  • Regular meetings are conducted to review academic progress, infrastructural development and faculty welfare.
  • The administration ensures that policies uphold inclusivity, fairness and sustainability in all institutional practices.

Code of Conduct for Teaching & Non-Teaching Staff

All faculty and staff are expected to serve as role models for professionalism, punctuality and ethical behavior.

Teaching Staff

  • Maintain integrity in teaching, assessment, and mentoring.
  • Uphold academic freedom while respecting institutional policies.
  • Avoid discrimination based on caste, gender, religion, or social background.
  • Encourage critical thinking, innovation, and student participation.
  • Maintain confidentiality regarding student performance and institutional matters.
  • Dress formally and maintain decorum on campus at all times.

Non-Teaching Staff

  • Exhibit punctuality, honesty and courteous behavior in administrative dealings.
  • Ensure confidentiality and accuracy in record maintenance.
  • Support academic and examination processes efficiently.
  • Maintain integrity in financial and documentation responsibilities.
  • Respect and cooperate with faculty, students, and visitors.
