About the Department

The M.Phil. in History programme at Sri Vasavi College (Aided Wing) provides an advanced platform for historical research, analytical interpretation and critical inquiry into India’s social, political, cultural and economic past.

The course aims to develop historians who can analyze historical events objectively, interpret socio-political transitions meaningfully and contribute to the preservation of cultural heritage through scholarly research.
