Department Objectives:

The Department of Commerce (Professional Accounting) was established in the year 2016 with 4 qualified and experienced faculty members dedicated in maintaining academic excellence and equipping students with various skills to face the challenges of today's business scenario.

The Department frequently organizes various Skill Enhancement Programme, Guest Lectures, Workshops, Department Association function and Industrial Visits to develop the skills that are needed to evaluate potential career paths.

The students are also participated in Seminars and Paper Presentations to develop their practical experience. The students are also attended various placement training programs.

The faculty members are also attended various Seminars and Conferences.

Unique Features:

• The Department Curriculum is aligned with professional Accounting Bodies like CA, CMA, CS, ACCA.
• The Course based on Subjects such as Financial Accounting, Cost Accounting, Auditing, Taxation, Corporate Law are taught in professional depth.
• The Department motivate the students to enhance their knowledge by doing the Bridge courses,value-added programmes, Placement Training Programmes and also give guidance for Professional and Competitive Examinations.
• The Department Organize various skill enhancement programmes and workshops to enrich the students practical knowledge in the curriculum based subjects.
• The Department Organized Intra department Function, Every year in which the students participate various Competitions and the winners were honoured by distributing the prizes and certificates.
• Every year the Department arranged an Industrial visit in which the students gain the practical experience about the functioning of the Company.
• The Department conducted Parents Meeting twice in a year in which the students Results, Attendance, Discipline, Academic Performance, Placement and Sports activities were informed to the parents by respective Class Mentors.
• The Department encourage the students to Participate Seminars, Paper Presentations, Inter collegiate Meet, Placement on campus and off campus level.
