About the College

As part of its strategic expansion to meet evolving educational and professional needs, Sri Vasavi College established its Self-Finance Wing in 1994, initially as an Evening College with three undergraduate programmes. Responding to growing demand, the Evening College was restructured in 2000 into a full-fledged Self-Finance Wing.

Currently, the Self-Finance Wing offers thirteen undergraduate and three postgraduate programmes, supported by exclusive and independent infrastructure designed to facilitate contemporary, skill-oriented education. Academic facilities include five state-of-the-art computer laboratories, three Costume Design and Fashion Technology laboratories, and a modern Electronics Laboratory equipped with advanced instruments.

The wing is further supported by a separate air-conditioned seminar hall and a meeting hall for academic and professional engagements. Emphasising physical fitness and all-round development, students have access to dedicated playgrounds for cricket, football, volleyball, shuttle badminton, kabaddi, and athletics, along with well-maintained indoor gaming facilities.

Student support amenities include a separate canteen, reprographic centre, and an exclusive library housing over 20,000 books and 20 national and international magazines and journals.

To enhance accessibility, the Self-Finance Wing is supported by well-organised bus transportation facilities, connecting the campus with Erode town and surrounding rural and suburban areas, ensuring safe, reliable, and convenient commuting for students and staff.
