At Sri Vasavi College (Aided Wing), academic excellence is complemented by vibrant co-curricular and support structures. The institution promotes participatory governance through a range of Committees, Clubs, and Cells, each designed to ensure quality, discipline, and student welfare.

Teachers’ Participation in Committees

The success of Sri Vasavi College’s academic and co-curricular initiatives is driven by the active involvement of teachers in various institutional committees. Faculty participation ensures transparency, teamwork, and excellence in every domain of college functioning.

Research and Academic Development Committee

  • Encourages faculty and students to undertake research projects.

  • Monitors publications, paper presentations, and seminars.

  • Coordinates with UGC and University for funded research activities.

Examination Committee

  • Oversees internal and end-semester examinations.

  • Ensures confidentiality, discipline, and fairness in evaluation.

  • Coordinates with Bharathiar University regarding examination schedules.

Fine Arts and Cultural Committee

  • Identifies and nurtures student talent in arts, music, dance and drama.

  • Organizes Fine Arts Festivals, College Day performances, and Intercollegiate Competitions.

  • Encourages participation in University Youth Festivals and State-level contests.

National Service Scheme (NSS)

  • Promotes community service and social awareness among students.

  • Conducts blood donation camps, cleanliness drives, tree plantation and rural development programmes.

  • Fosters leadership and civic responsibility through social outreach.

National Cadet Corps (NCC)

  • Builds discipline, patriotism, and physical fitness among student cadets.

  • Provides training camps, parades and opportunities for participation in Republic Day and Independence Day events.

  • Prepares students for defense careers and national service.

Sports and Games Committee

  • Plans and coordinates intramural and intercollegiate tournaments.

  • Promotes physical education and a healthy lifestyle.

  • Recognizes outstanding achievers in athletics and games during College Day.

Library Committee

  • Advises on the purchase of new books, journals, and digital resources.

  • Enhances library accessibility and promotes reading culture.

  • Assists in implementing digital library systems.

Career Guidance and Placement Committee

  • Conducts skill development and career counselling programmes.

  • Establishes linkages with industries for campus placements and internships.

  • Organizes soft-skill, resume-building, and interview workshops.

Supporting Services Committees

The College ensures a safe, inclusive, and equitable campus through several supporting service committees and cells, formed as per UGC and Government guidelines.

These committees function to uphold justice, protect student rights, and maintain a harmonious learning atmosphere.

Internal Complaints Committee (ICC) – Prevention of Sexual Harassment

  • Functions in accordance with the *UGC (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal of Sexual Harassment) Regulations, 2015

  • Provides a confidential platform for addressing grievances related to gender harassment.

  • Conducts awareness programmes to promote respect and gender sensitivity.

Anti-Ragging Committee

  • Ensures a zero-tolerance policy towards ragging.

  • Monitors student behavior and creates awareness about the consequences of ragging.

  • Works in coordination with the Anti-Ragging Squad and student representatives.

Student Grievance Redressal Cell

  • Provides an open forum for students to express academic or personal concerns.

  • Reviews and resolves grievances with fairness and confidentiality.

  • Ensures that no discrimination occurs based on caste, gender, or economic background.

Equal Opportunity Cell (EOC)

  • Works to ensure inclusion and support for students from disadvantaged sections.

  • Organizes motivational programmes and academic support for SC/ST/OBC and differently-abled students

  • Promotes an environment of equality, accessibility, and empowerment.

Discipline Committee

  • Monitors student conduct and ensures adherence to college rules.

  • Enforces campus order, dress code, and punctuality.

  • Assists in maintaining decorum during functions and examinations.

Alumni Association Committee

  • Connects the college with its alumni network for mentoring and placement.

  • Encourages alumni contributions in infrastructure and student welfare.

  • Organizes annual alumni meets and networking sessions.

Eco Club / Green Committee

  • Promotes environmental awareness and sustainability initiatives.

  • Organizes tree planting, plastic-free campus drives and environmental rallies.

Women’s Welfare Committee

  • Addresses issues related to women’s empowerment, safety, and welfare.

Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC)
